Github updated Wed, 05/16/2018 - 13:45

It's a good idea to use some sort of version control system when releasing your mods to the public, as this lets people easily update the mods, and see what's going on with development. Most mods are hosted on Github, and that does seem to be the preferred online hosting solution, there are some other, which honestly work just as well, but all the serious modders have Github accounts, and host their code on Github, so it's probably the preferred platform. In the course I only briefly covered the absolute basics of Git, mostly because the course wasn't intended to cover Git or Github. To fully leverage the power of the system you should learn more than what I taught, and there is a superb resource, created by Github that you can find here which will be of great assistance.
